Here is an initial shot of my newest lens. I hope to get some better shots of it later, and maybe a brief review. So far though, LOVIN’ IT!

Cardinal Red
This year, as in years past, “my” pair of Cardinals have made a nest, and in it are rearing their young. I enjoy watching both the male and female take part in their care, flying off to gather food, and bringing it back to the eager nestlings. The nest is a bit too high for me to see directly into, but I have seen the open mouth of one or two small offspring. I like to try and keep my distance though; the attentive parents are plenty nervous when I approach the nest.

Inside the building a the Petroglyph Area of 1000 Hills State Park. Not composed very well because all I had was my 85mm and couldn’t get back far enough. Next time I will take the 50mm.
