This Saturday is the day I meet a few senior girls at the Lake for a video shoot as part of their “Senior Video.” I hope to get a lot of footage of them together as well as some of each of the three of them separately. I will have other opportunities to shoot video of them as the school year progresses, but this is the main portion of the video.
The Video Scribe Does Archive
October 6, 2007![]()
The Video Scribe can transfer your old home movies and photographs to DVD. You may also wish to preserve special documents as a digital image in the event the original is destroyed. The Video Scribe can scan those important documents and papers and transfer them to CD, your external hard drive, or flash drive. You can then store them in a safe place, assured they are preserved for a lifetime.
Autumn Leaves Means Outdoor Video Shoot
September 23, 2007It is Autumn in Kirksville, MO and the leaves will be turning soon. That means the time is near for shooting senior videos. Once the leaves are just right, I will take a break from editing wedding video and go to Forest Lake at 1000 Hills State Park for some outdoor shooting of my seniors.
This year, I have three seniors who will be making senior videos. The shoot at 1000 Hills is just one component of their senior video.
Event Videography
September 20, 2007From The Video Scribe:
Why hire a videographer to capture your special event?
Your family heritage is important. Video tells a story pictures can’t. When you hire an event videographer, you invest in your cherished memories. The result is a multimedia presentation rich in the sights and sounds of your special event, one which you will pass on with pride to your children’s children, knowing it will last a century.
I do wedding and other event videography as well as slide shows in Kirksville and the surrounding area. Slide shows are the perfect addition for viewing at your special event, such as wedding reception, anniversary, or family reunion. In addition, I can archive your older photographs or home movies. Sometimes, home video is “boring” to watch, why not let me edit some of the highlights into a family DVD production you will be proud of?
New Videos On The Story Board
September 8, 2007I had a chance to upload a couple new video highlights to The Story Board page on thevideoscribe.com. One is a highlight clip of “Danny’s” 2007 T-Ball season. The other is the highlight version of Kenneth and Shirley’s 50th wedding anniversary slide show. I am still working on “Sandy’s” T-Ball and “Jaime’s” softball clips. Check back soon for more.
Walt & Dawn
September 2, 2007I watched a little footage taken at Walt and Dawn’s wedding yesterday with the unmanned camera. When her father gave the bride away, you can see him but not the bride (the groom was in the line of sight). When everyone is on stage, the action is a little too far to the right. It is going to be difficult to edit any cutaways into this wedding. I hope I have enough B-roll footage to help out. It was a nice wedding and the reception locale, Jackson Stables, was perfect.

Open For Business
August 24, 2007
I can’t wait any longer. I am officially debuting my new website, www.thevideoscribe.com. This is the online home of my freelance video production business, The Video Scribe.
I am sure the site will receive many updates and changes from what it is now, but I want to go ahead and get the word out, “I am open for business.”
The Story Board page is where I will put samples of my work. Right now, there are only two samples, but more are on the way.
I still want to purchase a semi-pro camera, but haven’t even come close to saving the $3,500.00 I will need for the Canon I want.
Please visit thevideoscribe.com and tell your friends and family about it.
