Seniors 2008

November 9, 2007

seniors

Seniors in the Kirksville and surrounding area, now is the time to book your senior video package. Take senior portraits to the next level. You (and your friends?) will star in a video shoot for the “music video” part of your package. Also included are local shots of you at your location choices and a “growing up” photo montage, which can include your photos and a few of your old “home movie” clips. A popular idea is to have a group of friends get together for the shoot. Book the package that is right for you.

Email: info@thevideoscribe.com for a list of packages and ideas.

The Status Queue

November 1, 2007

This week I started using Sony Vegas. So far, I am loving it. Editing is going to be a richer experience. Now, on to the Queue…

  • VHS to DVD transfers for Sherry: still in progress
  • Walt and Dawn’s wedding video is still in editing. The move to Vegas is going to be helpful on this one.
  • New project: Retirement from MO DOT - A photo montage for a retirement party. Production begins today.
  • Informal/personal projects: as time becomes available, I still have some ball games to edit.

That’s the status for the week.

The Video Scribe Does Archive

October 6, 2007

  • Archive all of your precious pictures, home movies, even important documents. Have paper documents and pictures scanned and digitized for safe and easy storage at a site away from your home in case of fire or other disaster.
  • Save your precious home movies to DVD before it is too late
  • Chronicle your home and contents in case of disaster
  • The Video Scribe can transfer your old home movies and photographs to DVD. You may also wish to preserve special documents as a digital image in the event the original is destroyed. The Video Scribe can scan those important documents and papers and transfer them to CD, your external hard drive, or flash drive. You can then store them in a safe place, assured they are preserved for a lifetime.

Autumn Leaves Means Outdoor Video Shoot

    September 23, 2007

It is Autumn in Kirksville, MO and the leaves will be turning soon. That means the time is near for shooting senior videos. Once the leaves are just right, I will take a break from editing wedding video and go to Forest Lake at 1000 Hills State Park for some outdoor shooting of my seniors.

This year, I have three seniors who will be making senior videos. The shoot at 1000 Hills is just one component of their senior video.

    Event Videography

    September 20, 2007

    From The Video Scribe:

Why hire a videographer to capture your special event?

    quoteMemories fade. Videos linger.

Your family heritage is important. Video tells a story pictures can’t. When you hire an event videographer, you invest in your cherished memories. The result is a multimedia presentation rich in the sights and sounds of your special event, one which you will pass on with pride to your children’s children, knowing it will last a century.

I do wedding and other event videography as well as slide shows in Kirksville and the surrounding area. Slide shows are the perfect addition for viewing at your special event, such as wedding reception, anniversary, or family reunion. In addition, I can archive your older photographs or home movies. Sometimes, home video is “boring” to watch, why not let me edit some of the highlights into a family DVD production you will be proud of?

    Dick and Rene’

    September 5, 2007

Last night I finished production and packaging for Dick and Rene’s 25th wedding anniversary slide show. I didn’t have a lot of notice to do the job, but I am on vacation this week, so I have had plenty of time to get it put together and I really enjoyed doing it for them.

    Open For Business

    August 24, 2007

I can’t wait any longer. I am officially debuting my new website, www.thevideoscribe.com. This is the online home of my freelance video production business, The Video Scribe.

I am sure the site will receive many updates and changes from what it is now, but I want to go ahead and get the word out, “I am open for business.”

The Story Board page is where I will put samples of my work. Right now, there are only two samples, but more are on the way.

I still want to purchase a semi-pro camera, but haven’t even come close to saving the $3,500.00 I will need for the Canon I want.

Please visit thevideoscribe.com and tell your friends and family about it.

    Google me

    August 23, 2007

I have been googling my name recently to see if thevideoscribe.com shows up yet. This morning, it did! I was number five in the results page. The page that it pulled first was the “About” page. The summary was a line or two from the first paragraph. I realized immediately that I needed to rewrite that paragraph to have it tell what I do, not what I have done. It used to tell where I went to college, now it reads like this,

“Tracy Christman is a skilled producer of multimedia videos and photo montages, including wedding, graduation, and special event. Creative and service-oriented, I work diligently to produce high-quality, meaningful video productions.”

That is how it reads for now anyway. I may tweak it further as I see the need. I am pleased that I am finally on the first page of results if you google my name, Tracy Christman.

As of today, if you google “thevideoscribe.com,” you will get the “coming soon” summary in the results. If you google “The Video Scribe,” you won’t get a thing.
